"Kids Product Q measures and tracks the consumer equity in brand and company names, using its logos to elicit response."

Kids Product Q examines overall brand or company appeal and imagery among children 6-11 and teens 12-17, as well as users of the specific brand. Kids Product Q is used by several companies as a low-cost tracking service.

Kids Product Q studies are conducted as follows:

  • Studies are fielded in the summer (August) each year, with results available after Labor Day.
  • Each study includes 36-60 brand or company logos on a "share-the-cost" basis.
  • Each study is based on 1,000 interviews with children 6-11 and 1,000 with teens 12-17. These segments can be ordered individually. Each is representative of the Continental U.S. population.
  • An optional ranking of 175 brands is available. This All Brand Ranking Report is an ideal tool when searching outside of traditional categories for joint-promotion partners.

Custom Kids Research

There are occasions when the schedule of our "share-the-cost" Kids Product Q studies is not timely, or we may not have any — or recent — data on particular brands or companies. Fortunately, we offer the following supplemental custom research:

Custom Kids Product Q: Launch your own version of Kids Product Q with a smaller sample and abbreviated questionnaire at any time. National or regional samples are selected from our consumer panel, using your specified demographic requirements. These custom versions of Kids Product Q utilize the same "norms" from the "share-the-cost" studies.

Additional Kids Research

TV Research: Through our TVQ and Cable Q studies, we actually identify children (6-11) and teen (12-17) viewers of specific programs, dayparts or networks. These respondents are available for any type of study involving program concepts, potential time period changes or reaction to characters.

Movies & Videos: How do kids regard specific movies, videos and video games/characters? We have thousands of children and teens available for mail or telephone research in these subject areas. Many are already screened through our Cartoon Q studies.
The availability of pre-screened respondents actually provides a "free screening," for custom research. This allows the research budget to be used for interviewing, rather than locating qualified respondents.
